about culture through the internet.

Participating schools:
Sky View High School is a
large high school in farming community in northern Utah. There are approximately 1500 students and enjoys a rich tradition
in athletics, the arts and theater. Most of the students are in the same social economic class. Most come from large families
with working fathers and at-home mothers. Sky View High School has five large computer rooms in which each will house an entire
class of students. These computers have internet and access, many programs and software. Sky View is very similar to the other
high schools in the area economically, athletically and educationally.
Escola Estadual Dr. Luiz Zuiani is
a high school and a middle school in the large inland town of Bauru, Sao Paulo, Brazil. There are approximately 2,500 students
who study in the morning, afternoon and a night. This school is separated into three periods of classes. The high school students
attend in the morning which starts at 7:00 am and ends at 12:30 pm. The middle school students attend immediately after and
go till 6:00 pm. The evening students are a mix of middle and high school students who attend till 11:00 pm. The school is
situated in the middle class section of Bauru, which is a rather portion of the population. It is a public school and therefore
is not the best education that can be received in Brazil, but is a good education for a public school. The school has 10 semi-new
computers that have access to the internet and are well taken care of by the students and the monitor on duty. Luiz Zuiani
is similar to many of the public state schools in the area but appears to have more resources and activities for the community
and the students.
